Buttercups Syon Park

A beautiful garden nursery - haven for Montessori and Forest School

Availability: Please note, this nursery is extremely popular and will not have a space available until September 2024 at the earliest

Welcome to Buttercups Syon Park. We are an independently managed nursery based within the magnificent parkland setting of Syon Park, the home of the Duke of Northumberland. Although we are situated between the bustling centres of Isleworth and Brentford, our nursery grounds are so peaceful that you could be the middle of the countryside!

Our Nursery Head is Aleksandra, who has 9 years’ experience in nursery management. She is a qualified teacher with a Masters Degree in English Language and has a Level 3 qualification in Management and Childcare Education. She is dedicated to providing a happy, safe and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop. She has an enthusiastic attitude and works hard to ensure good practice is demonstrated across all areas of the nursery from planning quality activities to communicating with parents and staff.

Great Facilities

We have a lovely two-storey building with spacious playrooms and plenty of light. Our large garden wraps right around the nursery affording us different areas to explore and play. We have fields with play equipment, activity areas with sandpits, a veggie garden to grow plants and our own forest area.

Child-centred Care

The under 2s have dedicated playrooms and a separate, calm sleep room with comfy cots. For the 2-3 year olds we have rooms filled with specialised play equipment. This sturdy furniture is made from wood and other natural materials and encourages children to learn through play.

Montessori

For 3-5 year olds we have refurbished the top floor of the nursery to create a pre-school suite. It's filled with Montessori and Early Years equipment which, along with our dedicated teachers, prepare our children for their move to big school.

Forest School

Our forest area is completely enclosed within the nursery grounds giving children the freedom to explore, to climb and to create their outdoor world.
Qualified Forest School Leaders show the children how to safely use tools, building their fine motor skills, their confidence and teaching them how to manage risk. They also guide the children in lots of activities such as building dens or water channels which promote physical development and problem solving. The children are taught all about the plants and wildlife around them giving them a respect and understanding of nature. And, of course, they get plenty of fresh air! The beauty of our Forest School at Syon Park though, is that the nursery building is close at hand meaning that we can easily retreat to safety if the weather becomes too bad and the children can enjoy hot, freshly cooked meals even whilst they're outdoors.

Great Team

Our qualified, caring team receive ongoing training, both on and off-site. This nurturing and development continues throughout their time with us, inspiring the level of care and education your child receives. All children are allocated a key-person when they start, someone who is committed to their well-being. We have a gentle settling-in process as we know that some children find it harder to adjust than others.
