Welcome to Buttercups Isleworth. We are an Ofsted Outstanding nursery based in the heart of Isleworth. We are also part of the Buttercups group which has been providing care to children for nearly 40 years, 25 of which have been in Isleworth!

Our Nursery Head, Nicky, has worked in childcare for 10 years. She started as a Nursery Practitioner with Buttercups before gaining a promotion to Room Head, then Deputy Head. She has now joined our Leadership Team as Nursery Head. Nicky is committed to creating lasting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Great Facilities

Buttercups Isleworth is a community nursery with a large bright play room, perfect for the more active and adventurous child. There is plenty of room to move about and lots to explore and discover. Our large garden is packed with toys and sports equipment. And because we are a pack-away nursery, it is fresh and new each morning.

Great Team

Our qualified, caring staff receive ongoing training, both on and off-site. This nurturing and development continues throughout their time with us, inspiring the level of care and education your child receives. All children are allocated a key-person when they start, someone who is committed to their well-being. We have a gentle settling-in process as we know that some children find it harder to adjust than others.

Child-centred Care

Our baby unit has a calm and quiet feel with a separate sleep room and lots of tactile toys.

The large free-flow play hall has designated activity areas including a computer zone and library. Activities are organised by age group but there are plenty of opportunities to explore and mix with children of other age groups.

For our preschoolers we have plenty of Early Years Foundation Stage activities to help prepare them for their move up to big school. At the end of their time with us, Buttercups children leave with confidence, curiosity and a zest for learning.

Safety and Well-being

All our staff have an enhanced DBS check and First Aid training. Healthy meals are cooked freshly everyday by our own cook, who can cater for any dietary requirements. We have a strict policy on hygiene. The nursery is cleaned every evening, laundry is done daily and all toys are sanitized weekly. Our baby room has a “no shoes” policy to keep the floors clean for our crawlers and all staff are instructed in the use of antibacterial spray and hand washing routines. We also carry out constant risk assessments of equipment and toys to ensure their safety and that they are in tip-top condition for playing.
