Our Ealing nursery is centrally located in a homely 4-storey Victorian detached townhouse on Florence Road. This is a residential street close to all the amenities and transport links of Ealing Broadway, including the Underground (Central and District lines), and the mainline train service into Paddington.

The spacious rooms are decorated to a very high standard. The playrooms are amply resourced with a home-from-home feel to ensure that your child is cared for in a fun, learning environment and to take into account their developmental stage and interests.

The children often begin in the Baby Unit, progressing to the Wobblers, then the Toddlers (age 2-3 years) and then up to ‘Big’ Pre-school where they have a more structured day preparing them to join main stream schooling. The transition to main school is made easy because of the foundations laid down by Buttercups.

"Children learn the importance of good personal hygiene through daily routines, for example they know to wash their hands after using the toilet and before eating. Effective procedures, such as staff consistently wearing disposable gloves and aprons for nappy changing, sustain high levels of hygiene and prevent the spread of infection. Children are well cared for due to the efficient procedures in place for first aid, accidents and medication, all of which are shared with parents. They are protected from unnecessary illness and are well cared for in emergencies as the staff have good procedures in place for accidents."
Ofsted Inspection, 2005

The garden is divided into two areas with soft play surfacing and grass. It is always considered a extension of the inside, as well as providing opportunities to learn about playing and sharing together. Whether tackling climbing frames, playing with balls, hoops and quoits, or sand and water in troughs, our staff provide the variety to enable new discoveries to take place. Dancing, singing, art and teddy bear picnics are also a small part of the fun and learning our garden offers to the children.
